In the original game, Chris is a member of an elite special forces team called S.T.A.R.S.. Chris Redfield is a character in the Resident Evil movie series. He is portrayed by actor Wentworth Miller. Chris is a member of the United States military who specializes in counter-terrorism. He is also one of the founding members of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, more commonly known as the BSAA.
Chris makes his first appearance in the original Resident Evil movie, which is loosely based on the video game of the same name. Chris and his fellow soldiers are sent to investigate the Umbrella Corporation’s facilities in Raccoon City after a series of mysterious deaths occur there. Chris quickly finds himself facing off against Umbrella’s deadly Bio-Organic Weapons, or BOWs.
Chris returns in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, which picks up immediately after the events of the first movie. In this film, Chris teams up with fellow BSAA member Jill Valentine to try to stop Umbrella’s latest creation, the T-virus, from spreading throughout Raccoon City. However, they are ultimately unsuccessful and the city is destroyed.
Chris appears once again in Resident Evil: Extinction, which is set several years after Apocalypse. In this film, Chris has left the BSAA and now works as a mercenary for hire. He is hired by Alice to help protect a group of survivors as they travel across America in search of a safe haven from Umbrella’s deadly T-virus.
The most recent entry in the series, Resident Evil: Afterlife, finds Chris once again working alongside Alice as they battle Umbrella’s forces. The two are joined by a new ally, Claire Redfield, who just happens to be Chris’ sister. The three of them travel to Los Angeles in an attempt to find any other survivors and lead them to safety.
